My Community in Maesteg has been growing since I was young. It is mostly of people my age but also some older and younger people who I have worked with or been in sport clubs or classes with or my neighbours.
Most of the community in Maesteg is from Maesteg- born and bred.
My community in Maesteg is not student based.
Artist Statement
My Community in Bath is a just under a year old. It is mostly of people around my age but it varies.
Most of my community in Bath isn't originally from Bath, some are but the majority is from all around the globe.
My community in Bath is student based.
This is an autobiographical project which celebrates two different communities, Bath and Maesteg, in South Wales. It highlights where I came from and where I'm going. I was highly influenced by August Sander who's work centres around typologies and I wanted to replicate this technique in a similar way in my work. My project studies both communities and explores the differences between them including the people, architecture and class.
